How Much Aloe Vera Should I Drink

In this article I hope to help clear up some misconceptions when it comes to drinking Aloe Vera juice. Personally I have been consuming Aloe drinking gel from Forever Living Products for many years now on a daily basis. When I am diligent and drink the aloe gel daily, I stay healthy, have more energy and am free from colds and flu, yes your read that right, I have not had the flu in over 5 years and no I do not get the flu shot every year.

I credit my ability to skip the flu season to the nutrients within the Forever Living Aloe drinking gel that help to strengthen your immune system. For many of these years drinking Aloe Vera juice I was a full-time Taxi driver and spent over half my day, usually evening shift from 4 pm to 4 am inside a cab, transporting all manner of people with all manner of germs from point A to point B.

On many of these trips during flu season I was directly exposed to people coughing, sneezing and breathing inside the cabin of the cab and sometimes these trips were from home to the doctors because they were sick with the flu. As long as I was drinking my Aloe Vera juice every day I did not ever contract any flu or cold from these sick passengers.

I am not an elite athlete, super fit or taking multi-vitamins every day, my diet isn’t that great and no I am not Wonder Woman or some super hero either

How Do I Know what my Optimum Level of Aloe is ?

This is a very valid question to ask when first starting out drinking Aloe. So why is there an optimum amount and why would you even worry about that, after all it is just a juice right? WRONG.

Aloe Vera is much more than just a fruit or vegetable juice so you need to know what your optimum amount on a daily basis is. Everyone is different and some can tolerate and need more whilst others like children need less and in my opinion we all have our optimum level.

I say optimum because all of us depending on age, current health issues and past health issues will need the right amount for our own internal body balance.

How do you know what your optimum amount will be?

Well that will vary and be up to you to know by becoming aware and in touch with your inner self. Knowing your health and what works and doesn’t work for you.

I suggest that generally speaking for most people they will only need to consume between 50-100 mls a day for an adult and 5-50 mls for a child depending on the age of the child and so forth.

Dr Peter Atherton is regarded as one of the world’s experts in the field of Aloe Vera’s medical properties. In this video he shares his view on how much aloe to have each day.

Why Only Drink a Certain Amount Of Aloe Juice Daily?

Well as I said above Aloe Vera is not just a juice per-say and most of the time it is thicker then juice as it generally comes from the inner leaf of the Aloe plant which is more like a gelly substance. The reason you do not consume it like a juice, cordial or water is because of the powerful properties the Aloe gel contains.

Aloe Vera detoxifies the internal intestine in your gut cleaning out all the built up rubbish caught in your villi from years of consuming processed foods and high fat, high sugar diets.

Drinking Aloe has a natural cleansing effect on the gut. Aloe Vera contains over 200 vitamins and minerals Aloe Vera has the natural ability to reduce inflammation and pain inside the body Aloe Vera is known to help the body regenerate healthy new cells.

So because of detoxification properties of aloe, consuming too much on a daily basis will generally cause the need to go to the toilet on a more frequent basis. When the Aloe juice has worked it’s magic on the inside and cleared these stubborn toxins you will find your optimum amount on a daily basis will be somewhere in the range of 50-100 mls.

Your optimum amount daily will assist in reducing problems from bloating and you will just have a generally sense of wellness and energy. If you are drinking too much each day you will pass loose stools more than once through the day and you could possibly suffer symptoms like cramping and nausea.

I know this sounds disconcerting but as in anything you consume orally, if you overdo it you will suffer some effects of that overconsumption in some way shape or form.

Once you find the right balance your absorption of nutrients, vitamins and minerals will be more efficient, giving your body more of what it needs for a healthy immune system which will help in the prevention of colds and flu.

The Truth about Aloe Vera

You have reached for aloe when you spent too much time in the sun. You’ve seen Aloe listed as an ingredient in many of your personal care products. It’s always been there. Simple, trusted and recognised the world over.

There’s a reason Aloe Vera gel is trusted in products you see every day and that reason dates back thousands of years. The earliest civilizations revered this extraordinary botanical for its astonishing properties. Its legendary uses have been passed down through time, enhanced by scientific innovation and centuries of experience.

The earliest written description of Aloe Vera’s medicinal properties was found cached between the knees of an Egyptian mummy dated from the year 1550 BC. In the 4th century, aloe was used by the soldiers of Alexander the Great to restore their strength and heal their wounds.

Aloe Vera’s beautifying effects were made legendary by Egyptian queen Cleopatra’s use of the plant to keep her skin looking young and beautiful.

The record of aloes historical uses is lengthy and spreads around the world, from the 12th century German medical records to the Compendium of Materia Medica from the Chinese Ming Dynasty. With such a long and documented history of it’s benefits and uses there is no denying the power of this simple little plant.
